Manufacturing Engineer
Position: Manufacturing EngineerReports To: Operations ManagerLocation: Houston, Texas, USAEducation: Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering discipline or equivalent training and experienceExperience: 8 - 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality & Operations.Role OverviewThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for working with the local and remote teams to overseeend-to-end manufacturing operations, production planning, quality assurance, process optimization,vendor/materials coordination, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate should possess strongleadership skills, technical expertise in electronic manufacturing and power system products, and theability to drive efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.Key Responsibilities• Maintain, develop and implement manufacturing and operational strategies aligned withorganizational goals and business objectives at our Houston facility.• Ensure on-time delivery of products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, andreliability.• Ensure availability of materials, components, and production resources required to meetmanufacturing targets, while maintaining a minimal inventory footprint.• Collaborate with engineering, R&D, supply chain, and quality teams to support new productintroduction and process improvements.• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, waste reduction, andoperational excellence, including optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and manufacturingresources to maintain competitiveness and cost efficiency.• Provide administrative and operational support with respect to local and multi-facilityinteractions, local regulatory and health & safety concerns, and corporate ISO initiatives, ISOmanagement systems, including all training and auditing as required.• Maintain manufacturing systems, documentation, operational records, and equipment andfixturing, including preventative maintenance and calibration.Key Skills Required• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.• 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, and/or quality environment, includingmanagement or supervisory responsibilities.• Strong knowledge of production operations, quality systems, PCB manufacturing and inspectionprocesses & product development lifecycle.• Experience working with design engineering teams, EMS providers, vendors, and manufacturingpartners, supporting automated test systems, circuit board inspection, in-circuit and offlineprogramming, and various manufacturing metrics and KPIs.• Direct experience in NI LabVIEW & TestStand and/or IPC-A-610 inspection standards areconsidered to be an asset.• A strong grasp of administrative operations, including facility, infrastructure, regulatory andquality aspects of the organization.• Experience in the power systems or protection relay industry preferred.• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems required.• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and inventory/production management tools.• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.Why Join Us ?• Opportunity to work with advanced power system technologies• Collaborative and innovation-driven work environment• Exposure to global utility and industrial markets• Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization
