AirOps is headquartered in San Francisco, New York and Montevideo.The OpportunityData is core to what we do, from the ML systems that identify content opportunities to the customer-facing analytics that prove ROI. We're looking for a Director of Data to build and lead our Data function. You'll own data engineering, science, and analytics, working directly with founders and product leadership to shape how we use data across the platform.Key ResponsibilitiesData PlatformOwn end-to-end data platform: batch and streaming pipelines ingesting from crawlers, integration APIs (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, CDN Logs), product analytics, and CRMRun the data warehouse with strong performance, cost management, and observabilityImplement orchestration, dbt transformations, data contracts, and automated testingData Science & MLBuild ML systems that analyze AI search behavior, identify content opportunities, and predict performanceTake models from research to production, optimizing for latency and cost at scaleAnalyticsDeliver metrics that power dashboards, experiments, and customer-facing analyticsPartner with Product and GTM teams on tracking plans and impact measurementLeadershipBuild and lead the data team: hire, mentor, and level up engineers and scientistsDrive cross-functional projects and translate business requirements into technical solutionsQualificationsRequired8+ years in data roles with 3+ years leading teamsStrong background in both data engineering and data scienceExpert SQL and Python; hands-on with dbt, Airflow/Prefect, Snowflake/BigQueryTrack record building data products that directly impact business outcomesPreferredDomain experience in marketing, ad tech, or growth experimentationExperience with LLM applications and AI agentsBackground in customer-facing analytics productsOur Guiding PrinciplesExtreme OwnershipQualityCuriosity and PlayMake Our Customers HeroesRespectful CandorBenefitsEquity in a fast-growing startupCompetitive benefits package tailored to your locationFlexible time off policyParental Leave A fun-loving and (just a bit) nerdy team that loves to move fast!
