About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to support our Finance and Operations teams. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling manufacturing costs to ensure accurate cost reporting and support informed business decisions.
This position plays a key role in cost visibility, inventory accuracy, and profitability analysis across our production operations.
What You’ll Do
Perform cost accounting for raw materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead
Maintain standard cost, actual cost, and BOM cost structures
Complete monthly cost close, including COGS, WIP, and finished goods valuation
Analyze standard vs. actual cost variances and identify root causes
Prepare cost, margin, and profitability analysis reports
Support inventory cycle counts and physical inventory audits
Reconcile inventory discrepancies and assist with inventory adjustments and reserves
Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, or expired inventory
Maintain and update cost-related data in the ERP system (items, BOMs, routings, allocations)
Partner with Procurement, Production, and Warehouse teams on cost and efficiency analysis
Support pricing analysis and management reporting
Assist with internal and external audits related to cost and inventory

Compensation & Schedule
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm
Location: On-site at our manufacturing facility (Irvine)
Pay Range: $21 – $23 per hour
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience
Experience working in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and variance analysis
Experience working with ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
