Resident Engineer
Resident Engineer (Transportation & Civil Infrastructure)Location: DMV Region (DC, Maryland, Virginia)Our client is seeking a Resident Engineer with 8–12 years of experience in transportation and civil infrastructure construction projects. The ideal candidate will serve as the on-site technical lead, overseeing construction activities, contractor performance, contract administration, quality, safety, schedule, and project delivery.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.PE license preferred.8–12 years of experience in transportation, DOT, or civil infrastructure construction.Strong experience with roadway, bridge, utility, drainage, stormwater, streetscape, and MOT projects.Knowledge of DOT, FHWA, OSHA, and MUTCD standards.Experience with construction inspection, resident engineering, contract administration, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.PreferredExperience in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.DOT inspection, materials testing, safety, or construction management certifications.Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and digital construction management platforms.Experience supporting public-sector transportation projects and project closeout activities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead field oversight of transportation and civil infrastructure construction projects.Monitor contractor compliance with plans, specifications, permits, safety requirements, and agency standards.Manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders, and construction documentation.Track project progress, schedules, quantities, costs, and potential risks.Coordinate inspections, materials testing, quality assurance, and corrective actions.Oversee MOT implementation, traffic control, and jobsite safety compliance.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction reports.Coordinate with clients, contractors, agencies, utility owners, and project stakeholders.Interested candidates can share their resume with:Shaik Faheem (Ryan)Ryan.s@clevanoollc.com | 📞 (620) 337-9832
