In this position, the ideal candidate provides technical assistance and support related to audio visual systems, hardware, or software as well as responsibility for audio-visual and technical support for events, conferences, and trainings.DUTIES:The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time due to business needs or reasonable accommodation.Set up, operate, and break down audio visual equipment for events including meetings, conferences, weddings, banquets, and live music performancesCoordinate with event managers, banquet teams, and clients to understand and execute audio visual requirementsOperate soundboards, microphones, lighting, projectors, screens, and video equipment during eventsMonitor and adjust audio and visual elements in real time to ensure optimal quality and guest experienceTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently during live eventsConduct pre-event testing and post-event breakdown of all equipmentMaintain, organize, and store audio visual equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and event-readyAssist with staging, lighting design, and basic production support for performances and special eventsProvide technical support for internal meetings, trainings, and resort-wide presentationsTrain staff on basic use of audio visual equipment when neededMaintain inventory of audio visual equipment and report repair or replacement needsEnsure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of all equipmentMaintain clear and professional communication with team members and guestsAttend departmental meetings as requiredMaintain positive working relationships with all resort team membersJOB KNOWLEDGE: One year previous experience as an AV Specialist or equivalent education.WORKING CONDITIONS: Spends approximately equal amounts of time in/outdoors. Indoor: temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lighted offices, guest rooms, and public areas. Outdoors: May be exposed to weather conditions in uncovered areas. May work on wet concrete and uneven tile. Moderate exposure to hazardous substances and fumes.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stands and walks short to moderate distances through shift. Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks.
