We have openings for mentors specializing in Elementary, Middle School, and High School/SAT prep. Candidates may apply for one or multiple levels depending on their expertise.Pay+ $20 / hour depending on experienceScheduleSAT Math OR High School Math - T/Th, 8 hours per week | SAT English OR High School English - M/W, 8 hours per weekMiddle School Math (Pre-Algebra I, Algebra I, Geometry) - T/Th, 4 hours per week | Middle School English - M/W, 4 hours per weekSubjectsYou may choose to teach Math, English, or both.ResponsibilitiesSAT / High School:Teach specialized test-taking strategies for the SAT (time management, process of elimination, trap identification).Simplify complex high school concepts (Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II) for student mastery.Prepare brief, structured progress reports that assess each student's academic progress, learning habits, and areas for improvement for parent updates.Mentor students on college readiness and study habits.Middle School:Guide students through the transition from elementary skills to pre-algebra/geometry and structured essay writing.Prepare brief, structured progress reports that assess each student's academic progress, learning habits, and areas for improvement for parent updates.Instill strong study habits, note-taking skills, and organizational techniques.Reinforce current coursework while introducing advanced concepts.Elementary School:Build foundational mastery in phonics, reading comprehension, and basic arithmetic.Utilize gamified learning and manipulatives to keep young students enthusiastic.Provide patient, step-by-step assistance with daily homework.Future opportunitiesUpon successful completion of the program, high-performing candidates will be able to:Permanent Full-Time Offer: Transition into a permanent staff role at YEON.Co-op / Internship: For university students or recent graduates, we offer a co-op program through the semester.Software Tools to Know (not required but preferred):NotionSlackGoogle Workspace (Calendar, Meet, Doc, Spreadsheet, etc.)
