Mechanical Assembly Technician
**** 3 Month Contract position, with opportunity to hire FT after 3 mths*****
1 Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Perform assembly, installation, and maintenance on robotic, industrial x-ray systems and associated subcomponents including X-ray sources, other electromechanical components.
· Assemble and Install customer systems from drawings and CAD.
· Troubleshoot custom designs and systems.
· Redlining mechanical drawings and providing feedback to Shop Supervisor & mechanical engineers.
· Ability to work independently to finish assigned work on time and above quality expectations.
2 Entry Qualifications
· High School diploma or Associate Degree
· 2 years’ experience, able to read and implement mechanical drawings for system integration
· Must be a US citizen (No dual citizenship)
· Must have valid driver’s license and have or obtain a US passport
· Mechanical aptitude
3 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Basic computer skills to include word, Excel and Outlook.
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and/or CAD viewers
· Experience with wide variety of power and hand tools
· Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task daily
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
· Understanding of motors, sensors, and basic electronics a plus
