This role will work out of our Denver, Colorado facility and will support the organization by ensuring that our facility is a welcoming space for multiple stakeholder groups, building a full schedule of well-attended events, and maintaining a solid base of volunteers to run programs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage operation of Denver Champa Street facility. This includes oversight of building maintenance, security, city relations, quality assurance of athletic equipment, local vendor relations, incoming mail, communications with remodel crews, and other duties Work on-site daily, greeting and supporting participants, volunteers, and donors as needed Act as primary point of contact for Denver volunteers who lead programs out of Champa space Drive on-the-ground scaling of volunteer impact as needed Complete other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of relevant experience Problem-solving mindset Ability to motivate and support a team of volunteers Exceptional reliability Competence stewarding public spaces and engaging in de-escalation practices Strong organizational and administrative skills Ability to prioritize and pivot effectively Confidence communicating effectively with people from all walks of life Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Availability to work on-site daily, maintaining a work schedule that is agreed on with manager (evenings may be preferred) Availability to work approximately 1 weekend per month Availability to travel approximately 2 times per year if needed PREFERENCES We welcome all great applicants to apply even if you don't have all these preferred attributes Lived experience as a peer in recovery Desire to apply anti-racism and anti-oppression principles and practices Supervisory experience Experience working with vendor agreements Basic handyperson aptitude Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Experience facilitating fitness or social activities SALARY AND BENEFITS $66,800 - $75,200 annually 403(b) retirement plan with 4% match Paid time off (vacation/sick days/skill enhancement days) Medical, dental, and vision plans Monthly wellness stipend ABOUT US The Phoenix's mission is to build a sober active community that fuels resilience and harnesses the transformational power of connection so that together we rise, recover, and live.
