Requisition No: 874429Agency: Children and FamiliesWorking Title: ELIGIBILITY DETERMINATION SPEC (IV-E) - 60052459Pay Plan: Career ServicePosition Number: 60052459Salary: Annual Salary $55,000Posting Closing Date: 05/04/2026Total Compensation Estimator ToolEligibility Determination Specialist (IV-E)Open CompetitiveStatewide AdvertisementMultiple positions to be hired from this advertisement.$55,000 Annual SalaryDescriptionThis position is responsible for reviewing and approving eligibility determinations for federal funding including, but not limited to, Foster care, Adoption, and Candidacy.RequirementsThis position requires knowledge of federal IV-E child welfare programs.Essential Job FunctionsApprove program and funding eligibility determinations in the state Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS).Read, understand, apply the policies and procedures established for eligibility determinations using critical thinking.Clearly communicate interpretation of policies and procedures for inaccurate eligibility determination submissions.Enhance and maintain professional knowledge and expertise by participating in training seminars, workshops and conferences.Establish and maintain cooperative, professional working relationships with other agencies involved with federal and state eligibility associated with child welfare.Participates in title IV-E foster care reviews conducted by the Children's Bureau, as requested.Perform other related duties as assigned.Work Experience Requirements:At minimum, 1 year experience in federal or state eligibility/claiming determinations.Software Proficiency:* At minimum, 1 year experience in a child welfare/eligibility system* Microsoft ExcelCandidates requiring a reasonable accommodation, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, must notify the agency hiring authority and/or People First Service Center (1-866-663-4735).
