Drywall Mechanic

ResponsibilitiesBrasfield & Gorrie is currently accepting applications for a Drywall Mechanic. Below are the main responsibilities for this position.Brief Job Description (This descriptions may not include all duties required of this position):Install metal framing, metal backing, hollow metal frames.Install fire taping, prep gypsum wall assemblies for paint/texture, install corner beads and mise drywall accessories.Cut metal or wood framing and trim to size, using cutting tools.Fit and fasten wallboard or drywall into position on wood or metal frameworks, using glue, nails, or screws.Install horizontal and vertical metal or wooden studs to frames so that wallboard can be attached to interior walls.Read blueprints or other specifications to determine methods of installation, work procedures, or material or tool requirements.Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.QualificationsEducation - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience2 years experience preferredKnowledge of rated assemblies requiredExperience of blueprint reading preferredAbility to work various shifts and weekends requiredAbility to follow all applicable safety standards, rules, laws, and proceduresEOE/Vets/Disabilities
