Position TitleEngineer, Cybersecurity IIWork LocationSan Diego CAPosition DescriptionThe Cybersecurity Engineer II is responsible for supporting system security, cybersecurity compliance, and vulnerability management efforts within Department of Defense (DoD) information technology environments. The individual performs system hardening activities, conducts vulnerability assessments, implements Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and remediates security findings across Windows and Linux operating systems.The Cybersecurity Engineer II supports continuous monitoring initiatives and ensures systems remain compliant with established cybersecurity policies, directives, and security management requirements. The individual analyzes vulnerability scan results, applies vendor patches and security updates, assists with audit and inspection activities, and works closely with system administrators and engineering teams to maintain a secure operational environment.
