Job DescriptionJob Title: NCCER Advanced and or NCCCO Level I & II Riggers CertifiedLocation: Olathe, De Soto, Kansas City KansasJob Type: Full-TimePay Rate: $35 per hourHours: 50-60 hoursPer Diem: $100 per day, (7days)Duration: 14-16 month long projectJob Overview:We are seeking experienced Riggers to join our team in Olathe, De Soto, Kansas City Kansas. This role involves rigging, signaling, and guiding structural steel and heavy materials during steel erection and pre-engineered metal building installation.The ideal candidate will have advanced rigging knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to safely coordinate lifts with crane operators and field crews.Responsibilities:Inspect rigging equipment including slings, shackles, hooks, cables, and chains prior to useSelect proper rigging gear based on load weight, size, and lift requirementsAttach and secure loads to cranes and lifting devices using proper rigging techniquesSignal crane operators to safely lift, move, and position loadsGuide structural steel, beams, and heavy materials into place during liftsUse tag lines to control and stabilize loadsAssemble rigging equipment such as pulleys, spreader bars, and hoisting systemsAssist with positioning and securing structural steel during installationMaintain clear communication with crane operators and crew membersFollow all company safety standards and jobsite proceduresPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma or GED preferredNCCER Advanced Rigger CertificationNCCCO Level I & II Certifified3+ years of structural steel or industrial rigging experience preferredExperience Required With:Structural steel riggingCrane signaling and load controlRigging hardware and lifting equipmentPre-engineered metal building projectsTag line usage and load stabilizationKnowledge and SkillsStrong understanding of rigging methods and load calculationsAbility to read lift plans, blueprints, and jobsite layoutsKnowledge of OSHA safety standards for rigging and hoistingStrong communication and teamwork skillsWork Requirements & PPE:Red shirts and/or red jackets/hoodies are required to be worn dailyAll standard PPE is required at all timesHard hat, safety harness, and lanyard will be provided, Employees are financially responsible for issued equipment.Job Summary:This position is for highly skilled Advanced Certified Riggers with experience in structural steel and heavy lifting operations.
