Job OverviewThe Specialist Sr., Technical Corrosion provides high-level technical support and direction to corrosion technicians and field operations personnel. This position reports to the Manager of Corrosion Services and will internally interface with all levels of Operation personnel. This position is expected to provide guidance and deliver training to less experienced Company personnel. In exchange for your passion and expertise, we provide a benefits package that supports your well-being and growth in all aspects of life.MedicalVisionDentalSupplemental Life InsuranceDependent Life InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountWellness ProgramsService AwardsEducational ReimbursementFitness ReimbursementHolidaysPaid Time OffParental & Maternity Leave401KMaintain satisfactory professional relationships outside the Company, which are relative to the fulfillment of this position’s responsibilitiesProvide a broad spectrum of technical support to field operating technicians in the discipline of corrosion mitigationProvide technical input into and assisting in the development of strategic plans (SOP) for the implementation of new equipment, systems and processesCoordinate and maintain the capital budget related to corrosion controlProvide leadership in the Integrity Management Process as it relates to direct and indirect assessment of pipeline facilitiesCoordinate close interval, hot spot and similar surveys and interpreting survey dataDevelop new operating, maintenance, inspection and testing criteria and review changes to policies and procedures for consistency with industry standardsProvide internal audit function by evaluating operating records, test and inspection data and other documents required to verify the adequacy of operating procedures and compliance to federal, state and agency regulationsProvide on-site support of DOT auditsAssist in the design and specification of systems required for the cathodic protection of pipeline facilitiesAssist with project completions through on-site inspection, testing and commissioning of new facilitiesMaintain awareness of the most current technology and equipment advances through research, training and participation in industry associationsDevelop course content and present training to enhance the skills and technical competence of field personnelParticipate in studies and team projects to enhance overall safety, reliability and efficiency of the gas transmission systemOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualification5+ years of technical corrosion work experienceNACE “Corrosion Technologist” certification or a higher-level NACE certificationWorking knowledge of internal and external corrosion mitigation systemsWorking knowledge of ground and below ground coating requirementsWorking knowledge of the Pipeline Compliance System corrosion softwareStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience in Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or related softwareWillingness to lead a team of othersStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentLicense and InsurabilityA valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy are required.
