Core Thermal Hydraulics Engineer Location: Bellevue, WA, United StatesType: ContractCompensation: $69.00 - $115.00 per hourContractor Work Model: RemoteHours: 40.0 hours per weekResponsibilities Perform thermal-hydraulics analysis using in-house subchannel software to evaluate reactor core scenarios and support safety design parametersDevelop and verify calculation products in accordance with the company's quality assurance policies and proceduresDeliver complete and accurate analytical reports and deliverables, ensuring compliance with performance guarantees, specifications, and legal requirementsSupport the test program and contribute to methodology development and analysis for the sodium-cooled Natrium Reactor projectCollaborate effectively with team members, communicate analysis results clearly, and uphold high standards of trust, integrity, and teamworkRequirements B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or relevant Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of 10 years of experience in thermal hydraulic analysis with a B.S. degree, or 8+ years with an M.S. or Ph.D. degree, demonstrating high-quality workExtensive experience in nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic behavior and analysesProficiency in advanced liquid metal-cooled nuclear reactor core design and analysis software (e.g., SE2-ANL, COBRA, VIPRE)Strong understanding of uncertainty quantification, verification and validation techniquesExcellent communication skills and a high degree of trust and integrity
