Job Title: Registered Nurse - OutpatientLocation: Bethel, AK 99559Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN directs and coordinates nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards and collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient care. This role serves as a clinical resource when needed and incorporates age-specific considerations and cultural sensitivity when providing care. Patient population ranges from newborns to geriatric patients.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing processDirect and coordinate patient care in alignment with established standards of practiceCollaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomesServe as a clinical resource in complex or urgent situationsApply age-specific and culturally appropriate care practicesAdminister treatments and medications and interpret diagnostic testsProvide patient, family, and caregiver educationMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationSupervise unit secretaries and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) in collaboration with the Charge NurseUtilize office and medical equipment appropriate to the outpatient settingMaintain required competencies and clinical skillsQualificationsEducation & LicensureGraduate of an NLN-approved nursing programCurrent, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of AlaskaCurrent BLS certificationExperienceOne (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse preferredFor more details reach at jmckenzie@navitashealth.com
