Program Operations Strategist

Overview of the RoleOur global pharmaceutical client is seeking a Program Operations Strategist to support a large-scale patient support and engagement transformation initiative within a highly regulated healthcare environment. This role is responsible for translating strategic direction into scalable operating models, workflows, and execution frameworks that enable consistent, cross-functional delivery.The Program Operations Strategist will serve as a key partner to program leadership, helping bridge high-level strategy with execution by designing structured systems, frameworks, and documentation that support coordinated, omnichannel experiences. This role requires a highly structured thinker who can simplify complex problems, align stakeholders, and build repeatable processes that scale without increasing operational burden.The ideal candidate is comfortable operating across both strategy and execution, with strong communication skills and the ability to partner across business, technical, and operational teams.The BasicsDuration: 6-monthsHours: 40 hours per weekLocation: Hybrid, based in Mettawa, ILOnsite Requirements: 3 days onsite per week (Tuesday through Thursday)Top 3 Required QualificationsExperience translating strategic initiatives into structured workflows, operating models, and execution frameworksStrong ability to design scalable, repeatable processes, templates, and systems across cross-functional teamsProven ability to define business and operational requirements and communicate them clearly to diverse stakeholdersOther Qualifications4 to 7+ years of experience in program management, product operations, strategy, or related rolesExperience working in highly cross-functional environments with stakeholders across business, operations, and technical teamsStrong communication skills, including experience creating executive-level materials and structured documentationAbility to gather input, synthesize feedback, and evolve frameworks based on stakeholder needsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex processes into actionable componentsExperience building governance models, workflows, and change management frameworksFamiliarity with healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated environments is a plusExperience using digital tools to support workflow design, documentation, and collaborationInterest in or experience with AI-enabled tools to improve workflow efficiency is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office tools requiredKey ResponsibilitiesTranslate strategic program direction into actionable workflows, frameworks, and operating modelsDesign scalable templates, documentation systems, and process structures to support repeatable executionDefine and document business and operational requirements across cross-functional initiativesPartner with stakeholders across multiple functions to align on workflows, processes, and execution modelsBuild and maintain structured artifacts, including executive-level materials, frameworks, and documentation systemsEnable cross-functional orchestration by designing workflows that connect teams, systems, and processesEstablish governance frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structuresSupport change management and adoption by developing clear processes, documentation, and training materialsIdentify gaps in current processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency and clarityLeverage digital tools and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled workflows, to accelerate execution and scalabilityIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data.
