Paid Per Credit HourPosition PurposeUnder the direct supervision of the Director of the A & P/ Nursing Centerfor Excellence, performs the following functions:Duties and ResponsibilitiesPROVIDES INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES:Assist with development of course outcomes and curriculum which areconsistent with Academic Affairs, department, and technology /program goalsConvey course outcomes and expectations to students according tocollege policyOrganize and manage instructional activitiesUse appropriate learner-centered instructional methodsProvide evaluation methods appropriate to stated outcomesEvaluate student learning in a fair mannerPost and maintain sufficient office hours compatible with studentschedulesMaintain accurate records of evaluation and course work includingattendanceSubmit grades as required and on timeRegularly seek feedback on course delivery and student learningParticipate in college evaluation system of instructional servicesContribute to the assessment of student academic achievementWork cooperatively with others to accomplish the goals of thedepartmentAt all times maintain a safe working area and conditions.Qualifications - Education, Experience, and SkillsPosition RequirementsMaster's Degree in the discipline, or master's degree in a closely-related field plus 18 semester credit hours of graduate levelcoursework in the discipline, as defined by Ohio Board ofRegents/Higher Learning Commission guidelines required. Degreemust be from a regionally or nationally accredited institutionrecognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council forHigher Education Accreditation or equivalent as verified by amember of the National Association of Credential EvaluationServices, Inc.Knowledge of safe working conditions and experience teaching andsupervising laboratory activities required.Experience teaching at the high school and/ or college level stronglypreferred.Evidence of professional development in the field of concentrationas demonstrated by activity in professional associations,consultative practice, participation in seminars, workshops, andformal coursework, and individual reading and research.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Strong technology skills including usage of email, studentinformation system, and learning management system.Organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of educational theory and application, and of learnersand individual learning styles.Interest in and commitment to the learner-centered educationalprocess; caring attitude toward students.Attention to detail, ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.Reasonable accommodations may be requested and reviewed according to the Americans withDisabilities Act (ADA).
