Java Architect

Job Description: Java Architect (Remote) Location: Remote Contract Duration: 1 year with potential extensionsJob Overview:Key Responsibilities:Lead the architecture and design of applications from the ground up, ensuring they scale effectively.Provide both front-end and back-end architectural guidance, utilizing Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and Docker.Build and maintain APIs and microservices to support application development.Work with Azure technologies to ensure applications are cloud-native, secure, and scalable.Maintain and develop Architectural Design Records (ADRs) to ensure long-term architectural consistency.Design and implement solutions that support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) in multi-regional environments.Collaborate with Kroger's architectural team to ensure that solutions are stable and secure.Think creatively to design and implement solutions with minimal input or guidance.Required Qualifications:Experience:5+ years in an architectural role, providing full-stack architectural guidance.Strong experience working with Azure technologies.Expertise in back-end development with Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS.Proficiency with containerization using Docker.Experience in building and maintaining APIs and microservices.Experience with multi-regional high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.Familiarity with Architectural Design Records (ADRs) for maintaining consistent documentation.
