Custodial Services Compliance Coordinator

Primary Purpose: The Custodial Services Compliance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the hiring and onboarding for the department, as well as determining training needs for all staff, assist with development of training programs, and maintaining training schedules to continuously improve and grow. RESPONSIBILITIES: Major Responsibilities and Duties:Coordinates the hiring process for the Custodial Services department.Assist with the recruitment process for the Custodial Services department by identifying candidates, interviewing, and performing reference checks.Review and process applications, including verifying completeness of files and notifying those not selected for employment.Monitor completion of new hire paperwork to ensure prospective employees have completed the necessary paperwork to begin employment.Maintain information database to ensure that employee information is accurate, current, and reliable.Monitor prospective employees' progress towards completion of the fingerprinting process as well as assist with overall fingerprinting for staff.Prepare correspondence, forms, and reports according to district standards and requirements.Assist with managing a system for new employees to acquire appropriate information, support, and training necessary for success on the job.Assist with the coordination of the district's leave, health insurance, optional employee benefits, workers' compensation, and unemployment compensation benefit programs.Maintains continuing education certification for professional standards.Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and analyzes policies and operational proceduresPrepare, maintain, and distribute employee handbook as directed.Plan and attend department hiring events.Monitor completion of payroll.Coordinate New Hire Orientation.Coordinate department complaints.Maintain confidentiality.Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE: QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, education or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills:Proficiency in typing and data entryAbility to work with all levels of personnelEffective planning and organization skillsStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of general office procedures and the operation of computers and office equipmentKnowledge of common software packages such as Microsoft Word and ExcelKnowledge of Maintenance and Custodial procedures and operationsBilingual required OTHER INFORMATION: Equipment Used: Computer for specialized data entry, word processing and spreadsheet applications; printer, typewriter, copy machine and calculator. Working Conditions Mental/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Light lifting and carrying (under 50 pounds), use of fingers, walking, specific visual requirements (using computer), specific hearing requirements (telephone conversations). Excessive noise (sealer, intermittent), unusual fatigue factors, constant concentration, data entry.
