Assists physicians and midwives duringexaminations and procedures. Provides comprehensive, family centerednursing care to mothers and babies during antepartum, intrapartum andpostpartum periods. Guidelines include physician's orders, standards ofcare, nursing policies and procedures manuals, hospital policies.Nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and theirfamilies.Must have a valid, current, full and unrestrictedProfessional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of theUnited States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or aterritory of the United States. RequirementsLicense/Certification:Must maintain a current valid certification of the following:o Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Associationo Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Associationo Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Heart Associationo AWHONN Intermediate EFM Certification required within six (6) months of hireo AWHONN Advanced EFM Certification required within six (6) months of hire.o National Institutes of Health (NIH) – NIHSS – NIH Stroke Scale required within six (6) months of hireo STABLE Certification within 1 year of hireo Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) within 1 year of hireExperience:A minimum of at least one (1) year of OB nursing experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery and Labor and Delivery.
