Financial Audit & Accounting Analyst

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Financial Audit & Accounting Analyst to support a company focused on delivering financial integrity, audit readiness, and mission assurance for the U.S. Air Force. This position is on-site at Andrews AFB, MD. This role directly supports national defense by ensuring financial transparency, accountability, and compliance for Air Force Security Assistance and FMS programs.Responsibilities for the Financial Audit & Accounting Analyst include:Supporting audit assertions, asset valuation, and account reconciliations across financial statementsPreparing and maintaining auditor-ready documentation, including workpapers and supporting evidenceExecuting audit remediation activities and implementing sustainable accounting and business solutionsAnalyzing financial data to identify discrepancies and improve accuracy and complianceContributing to internal control design, testing, and audit readiness initiativesRequired Qualifications for the Financial Audit & Accounting Analyst include:5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, audit support, or audit readinessExperience supporting financial statement audits and preparing defensible assertion packagesStrong analytical skills with the ability to produce auditor-ready documentation and reconciliationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (or 4+ additional years of relevant experience)Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, as requiredCompensation for the Financial Audit & Accounting Analyst include:Salary Range: $100,000-$110,000 *depending on experience*Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick leave as required by lawKeywords: Financial Audit, Accounting Analyst, FIAR, Audit Readiness, FMS, Foreign Military Sales, Air Force Financial Management, Federal Accounting, Internal Controls, SFFAS, FASAB, GAGAS, OMB A‑123, Audit Remediation, Defense Contracting, Andrews AFB
