Sr. EH&S Specialist

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Review and develop company EH&S policies and procedures. Understand and abide by all company policies and procedures. Research and interpret applicable EH&S regulatory requirements, as necessary. This would include those from Cal/OSHA, DOT, EPA, and DTSC, among other federal, state, and local agencies. Support manufacturing and operations teams as an information resource. Conduct industrial hygiene sampling and exposure analyses. Conduct injury, incident, and near miss investigations. Conduct injury/incident trend analyses. Implement and enforce company EH&S programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct job hazard analyses and area hazard analyses. Support test hazard analyses. Conduct building and area inspections. Provide training and safety meetings to manufacturing and operations teams. Interface with inspectors and regulatory agencies as directed. QUALIFICATIONS Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Adobe Acrobat Extensive experience researching and interpreting regulations (e.g. Cal/OSHA, EPA, DOT, Fire Code, etc.). Experience developing written programs and company policy Strong basic mathematical skills Ability to stand or walk 50% of the day or more Any safety or environmental certifications are a plus EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Associate degree or higher in EH&S-related field and 8+ years of work experience or 10+ years of work experience in the EH&S field. $47.00-$61.88 hourly Eligible for up to 10% annual bonus Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable This position is located in Mojave, CA Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis.
