Position Type Substitute/Substitute Teacher Date Posted 4/8/2026 Location Belton School District Date Available 2026-2027   Additional Information: Show/Hide The Belton School District is looking to hire a permanent substitute teachers at Belton School District for the school year. This position is part of a Grow Your Own Initiative. The ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum of an Associates Degree or 60 college credit hours (if enrolled in a teacher education program), BS preferred Missouri substitute teaching certification, Missouri teaching certification preferred Enrolled in an education program/actively pursuing a career in teaching Willingness to attend training (possible summer dates may apply) These positions are designed as a segway to a teaching position within the district. It is expected that within a reasonable amount of time district permanent subs will have completed their education and begin interviewing for teaching positions within the District. Permanent substitute positions are non-exempt, 184-day classified positions (teacher schedule) assigned to specific buildings. Positions are paid an hourly wage on an annualized basis. Positions include full benefits. On occasion, the position may be temporarily reassigned in emergency coverage situations.
