OverviewIAPAC is seeking an experienced and strategic Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide high-level financial leadership and oversight on a part-time or contract basis. This role is responsible for guiding the organization's financial strategy, ensuring compliance with nonprofit and grant funding requirements, and strengthening financial operations to support IAPAC's global public health mission. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in nonprofit finance, grant management, and international operations, along with the ability to advise executive leadership and the board on financial planning and sustainability.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial LeadershipServe as a strategic advisor to the Executive Director and leadership team on financial planning and organizational growthDevelop and oversee financial strategies aligned with IAPAC's mission and program objectivesProvide financial insights to support decision-making and long-term sustainabilityFinancial Management & OversightOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processesEnsure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAPMonitor cash flow, reserves, and financial performance across programsGrant & Fund ManagementOversee financial compliance for grants, including federal and international funding sourcesEnsure proper allocation and tracking of restricted and unrestricted fundsSupport grant proposal budgeting and financial reporting to fundersCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with nonprofit regulations, donor requirements, and international financial standardsOversee audits and coordinate with external auditorsImplement and maintain strong internal controls and financial policiesOperational & Team SupportProvide guidance and oversight to internal finance staff or external accounting partnersEvaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting toolsSupport cross-functional teams with financial insights and resource planningQualificationsCPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced financial credential preferredStrong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, grant compliance, and fund accountingExperience managing international financial operations is highly desirableProficiency in financial systems and reporting toolsExcellent analytical, leadership, and communication skillsKey CompetenciesStrategic financial planningNonprofit and grant compliance expertiseRisk management and internal controlsFinancial reporting and analysisLeadership and stakeholder communicationMission-driven decision-makingWork ArrangementFractional / Part-timeRemote or hybrid flexibility depending on locationOccasional availability for leadership meetings and board reportingCompensationCompetitive hourly or monthly retainer based on experience and scopeFlexible engagement structureWhy Join IAPACIAPAC is a globally recognized organization dedicated to improving the quality of prevention, care, and treatment for people affected by HIV/AIDS and related conditions.
