This role bridges the gap between design intent and construction execution, ensuring models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project schedules and installation needs.The position requires a foundation in MEP design and BIM workflows, combined with the ability to apply that expertise in a construction-focused environment. The BIM Project Manager will work closely with engineers, architects, consultants, project managers, and field leadership to identify issues early, resolve coordination challenges, and support constructible, well-sequenced project delivery.In addition to technical leadership, this role plays a key part in mentoring BIM staff and elevating coordination standards across the organization.Ideal candidates are MEP design professionals who understand building systems deeply and are motivated to see their work built in the field.Core ResponsibilitiesLead BIM coordination efforts for multiple major mechanical projects from preconstruction through installationManage BIM coordination workflows, schedules, milestones, and issue trackingEnsure alignment between design teams, BIM personnel, and construction operationsServe as a technical Revit and BIM resource, providing guidance and troubleshooting supportEnsure model quality, accuracy, and compliance with established BIM standards and best practicesIdentify design conflicts early and collaborate with project teams to develop constructible solutionsCoordinate interdisciplinary efforts involving mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural systemsPrepare coordination visuals, model exports, and documentation for project communicationEstablish strong working relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, and trade partnersCoordinate design updates and ensure timely, accurate integration into project modelsCommunicate coordination issues, design impacts, and schedule risks proactivelyCollaborate with project managers, estimators, and field leaders to support planning, sequencing, and installationAssist in developing model-based deliverables for construction sequencing and field layoutMentor BIM Coordinators and modelers, supporting technical development and consistency across teamsProvide feedback to leadership on process improvements, training needs, and coordination performanceRequired BackgroundMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship as sponsorship is not available for this position3+ years of experience in MEP design, BIM coordination, or related roles1+ year of experience at an MEP consulting or design firm requiredProficiency in Revit required; advanced coordination skills strongly preferredStrong understanding of MEP systems and interdisciplinary coordination requirementsExperience supporting large, complex commercial projects (hospitals, data centers, or high-rise buildings preferred)Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyStrong communication skills with the ability to influence engineers, project managers, and field teamsHigh attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindsetCompensation & PerksCompetitive salary based on experience.Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement.401(k) with company match.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and paid holidays.Referral program and growth opportunities.Path for advancement into different VDC roles.
