Overview Job SummaryThe IT Program PLC Superintendent is responsible for accountable for the IT Infrastructure, PLC's robotics, scales, labelers, servers, and IT Dept.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and oversee all the IT functions for the siteCompliance with all federal, state, local and internal requirements from design through operation and maintenance of the plant. Ensure employees are aware of the requirements and their responsibilityOversee facility computer program upgrades and collaborate with all departments to ensure best practices are always being followedWork closely with cross functional teams (ops / QA / Engineering) to ensure facility needs are being met (temps / air flows / utilities etc)Maintain all IT infrastructure, departments, and equipment. Ensure equipment is performing to high standards and in a safe manner at all timesProvide technical guidance, direction, and develop specs for the IT teamEnsure proper training for all refrigeration personnelMaintain a team that is cross-functional and trained in different areas of IT to ensure crewing changes do not impact the facilityEstablish and implement preventative maintenance programs and procedures for the IT deptRequisition tools / equipment and supplies as needed (ensure critical spares are in stock at all times)Promote and drive succession development with areas of responsibilityNOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required):Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to work in the United States without sponsorshipHigh School diploma or GED5 years of experience managing IT dept (PLC programming)Demonstrated leadership experience supervising, planning, and scheduling a maintenance crewRead, write, and orally communicate in English and ability to work with no or little supervision Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in area of specialty is a plusBS in computer science or in area of specialty preferredPrevious IT experience in a slaughter meat facilityBilingual English / Spanish Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in PLC electronic theory and troubleshootingAbility to read and use blueprints, schematics and other diagramsAbility to work on a team and communicate well with othersStrong attention to detail and critical thinking skillsAbility to perform work with minimal directionTime management skills Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
