Job Title: Associate QA EngineerLocation: Hill AFB, UTJob Type: Full-TimeOverview: Systems Implementers, Inc. (SI) is a contracted implementation consulting firm performing work at Hill AFB in Utah. The Associate QA Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting testing activities to validate changes to mission-critical databases and associated systems. This role ensures that new requirements, software updates, and configuration changes are implemented accurately, function as intended, and maintain operational readiness for all affected users across the installation. The applicant will also have the opportunity to be mentored by an exceptional team of engineers with experience in a variety of industries. This is a full-time, on-site position. Remote work is not available, and the applicant will be required to report to the designated work location during regular business hours.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with multiple teams of Software Engineers to:Maintain and develop JUnit and Jasmine + Karma testing platformsPerform test case peer reviews to ensure adherence to testing standardsDevelop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SQL, Java, and Angular systems.Perform functional,regression, and integration testing both manually and using JUnit and Jasmine + Karma testing frameworksValidate that system modifications meet documented requirements and comply with Air Force standards, security protocols, and operational needs.Document test results, track defects, and coordinate with development teams on issues.Collaborate with others to clarify functionality and ensure smooth deployment of updates.Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and information assurance policies during testing activities.Provide technical risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.Participate in post-implementation reviews.Required Skills And EducationBachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExpertise with Java EE, specifically Spring and JUnitExpertise with Angular 15+, specifically using Jasmine + KarmaExpertise with Oracle SQL or Postgres SQLExperience in software testing, preferably in a DoD or government environmentFamiliarity with testing methodologies, defect tracking tools, and test management systemsStrong understanding of relational databases, SQL queries,and data validation techniquesAbility to interpret technical documentation, system requirements,and functional specificationsU.S. CitizenAbility to pass a DoD Background checkAbility to work on-site at Hill Air Force BasePreferred QualificationsCandidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:Experience working on Agile software development projects (e.g. Sprint, Kanban, etc.)Experience designing Unit, Integration, and Regression test suitesCertification in any of: CSSLP, CISSP, CASP, or Scrum MasterExperience with any of the following technologies:Java Spring MVCJasmine + KarmaXMLEclipseAngularJSONJPA/HibernateJiraJUnitAJAXMavenTomcat/WebLogicSVN or GitOracle SQL & PL/SQL SI Offers The Following Benefits To Employees When EligibleCompetitive compensation based on qualifications and experienceMedical,dental, and vision insurance supplemented by SISupplemental insurance options401k matchingHoliday payVacation and Sick payBonus programEmployee development programSI does not offer relocation expenses.Systems Implementers is an EEO and Non-Discrimination EmployerAll individuals will be vetted, screened, and evaluated (clearance and/or background check before being granted access to any CUI data).Salary: $65000 - $70000 per year
