Technical Director

We are seeking a Technical SME- AI Infrastructure & Platforms, a senior technology leader reporting to the CTO, responsible for architecture, scalability, reliability, and evolution of L&T’s AI infrastructure portfolio. This role owns the technical vision, platform strategy, and delivery excellence across GPU infrastructure, AI platforms, and datacenter‑based AI services.The role balances deep technical leadership, platform economics, ecosystem alignment, and executive‑level decision‑making to ensure sustained GPU utilization, platform differentiation, and long‑term competitiveness.Key Responsibilities1. AI Infrastructure Architecture & StrategyOwn end‑to‑end architecture for: GPU compute and AI clustersTraining and inference platformsManaged AI and AI datacenter servicesDefine reference architectures for: Large‑scale GenAI trainingHigh‑throughput inference platformsEnterprise and sovereign AI deploymentsDrive technical decisions across: GPU platforms (NVIDIA, AMD, emerging accelerators)Networking, storage, and interconnect strategiesHybrid cloud and on‑prem AI models2. Platform Engineering & Delivery LeadershipLead AI infrastructure engineering, SRE, and platform teamsEnsure: High availability, performance, and fault toleranceSLA adherence and operational excellenceSecure, compliant, and scalable platform deliveryImplement best practices across: Capacity management and GPU schedulingCluster orchestration and automationPerformance benchmarking and optimization3.
