Title: Sr. Manager, Internal Communications & EngagementLocation: New York, NY - Hybrid Rate: $75/HrNote: This position is a contract on W2, and is NOT open to C2C.Position SummaryThe Sr. Manager, Internal Communications & Engagement will own and evolve the strategy and execution of internal communications, culture-building programs, and key team forums. This role is responsible for creating the clarity, alignment, and momentum that help CMX operate effectively across a dynamic, cross-functional business and support broader transformation and enterprise engagement goals.This person will own critical communications and engagement work from start to finish, including the editorial calendar, monthly CMX newsletter, major meetings, internal communication channels, engagement committees, and programs that reinforce the CMX Charter and culture.The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and writer, as well as a proactive, highly collaborative operator who can think strategically, drive follow-through, build new processes or programs when needed, and remain flexible as business needs evolve. This role requires someone who can translate the complexity of CMX’s brand, initiatives, and products into clear, engaging communications and bring creative thinking to how content, meetings, and programs come to life.Responsibilities Lead the internal communications strategy for CMX, shaping how priorities, products, programs, and updates are communicated across CMX and the broader CVS Health enterpriseOwn the editorial calendar and overall communications rhythm for CMX, ensuring content, meetings, milestones, and enterprise moments are coordinated through a clear, connected narrativeOwn the monthly CMX newsletter, including content planning, stakeholder coordination, development and production in the platform, publishing, and ongoing evolutionSupport the onboarding and new hire process through communications and related operational needs, including welcome messages, org chart updates, maintenance of key team lists and resources, and continuous improvement of the onboarding experience for hiring managers and new colleaguesOwn major meetings end to end, including agenda development, speaker and content coordination, materials, logistics, follow-up actions, and ongoing process improvementServe as a central connector across CMX by building strong cross-functional relationships, identifying communication needs and gaps, and proactively driving the right messaging and forums to strengthen alignment across teamsHelp shape a more effective SharePoint experience through stronger content architecture, organization, usability, and governance in partnership with relevant stakeholdersLead the CMX Engagement Committees program, increasing visibility, supporting execution, and ensuring the work connects to broader team and enterprise prioritiesManage internal recognition programs and related communications that celebrate colleagues, reinforce culture, and support engagement across the organizationServe as a key liaison between CMX and communications partners from across CVS Health teams, including Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Pharmacy, and Enterprise, to strengthen communication, alignment, and shared learningOwn and evolve the CMX Charter program, including communications and other mechanisms that bring the Charter to lifeGather and interpret feedback through surveys, engagement inputs, and communications metrics, and use those insights to refine content, channels, meetings, and programs over timeHelp define and improve the internal communications and engagement function by building processes, standards, and scalable ways of working that support business needs, cross-functional alignment, and continued transformationRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, or related roles, ideally within a complex, fast-paced organizationProven experience developing and executing internal communications strategies that support business priorities, team alignment, and colleague engagementStrong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, audience-centric, scannable communications that use concise language and avoid unnecessary jargonExperience owning recurring communications channels and forums, such as newsletters, all-team meetings, leadership Q&As, or similar vehiclesExperience leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, including stakeholder alignment and follow-through, particularly for engagement, culture, or change management initiativesProven ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic environmentDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment, build strong cross-functional relationships, and drive work forward with initiative and sound judgmentExperience using surveys, feedback, and communications or engagement metrics to assess effectiveness and refine approachExperience balancing strategic thinking with hands-on executionStrong experience with SharePoint, including content organization, usability, and site management; deeper expertise in permissions, governance, or document architecture is strongly preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience working in or supporting an adtech, martech, media, retail technology, or similarly complex and fast-evolving business environmentExperience connecting communications across multiple business units or serving as a liaison across teams within a larger enterpriseExperience with internal communications platforms such as PoppuloExperience using or experimenting with AI tools to support communications, content development, or operational efficiency, along with curiosity about how AI can improve ways of working
