Epitec is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our automotive client's team in Chicago, IL. As a Human Resources Coordinator, the candidate will play a pivotal role inensuring fair, timely, and thorough workplace investigations while supporting a safe, inclusive, and compliant manufacturing environment.This is an ongoing W2 contract with potential for conversionThis is an onsite position in Chicago, ILTop ResponsibilitiesConduct workplace investigations into employee concerns raised through internal channels, including taking real-time statements from hourly employeesInterview employees, gather facts, and manage investigations from intake through disposition and case closurePrepare, track, and maintain accurate and complete investigation documentationHandle sensitive employee data and statements with strict confidentialityBalance employee advocacy with company policies, goals, and values while fostering an inclusive and respectful work environmentProvide employee relations support to both hourly and salaried personnel as neededSupport and reinforce all applicable employee health and safety requirementsAdjust work schedule as needed to support investigations across different shifts, including occasional split or off-hour schedulesQualifications5+ years of experience conducting workplace investigations, including interviewing, documentation, case management, and dispositioningStrong employee relations and employee engagement experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional typing skills with the ability to accurately document statements in real timeProficiency with Microsoft Outlook2+ years of experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelAbility to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalismHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to work onsitePreferred QualificationsExperience in labor relationsExperience working in a manufacturing and/or unionized environmentStrong working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelBachelor’s Degree
