They must be well organized, work safely, be capable of effectively achieving deadlines with minimal direct supervision, and successfully works in a team environment.WindingResponsible for performing all manufacturing processes required to wind quality coils per specifications using heavy winding equipment. Units are wound on arbors using a variety of copper wires and/or foils and must be produced using three-view dimensional drawings within both the designated specifications and production standard times.Panel WiringResponsible for performing all manufacturing processes required to produce quality passive and active filter units from various components, using three-view dimensional drawings and schematics within the designated production standard times.AssemblyResponsible for performing all manufacturing processes required to produce custom designed units from components and sub-assemblies, using three-view dimensional drawings and schematics within the designated production standard times.FabricationResponsible for performing all manufacturing processes required to fabricate quality components using a variety of light fabricating equipment. Parts must be produced using three-view dimensional drawings within both the designated specifications and production standard times.Module Assembly & Test:Responsible for performing all assembly and testing processes required to create quality products using a variety of tools, components, and testing equipment. Parts must be produced using three-view dimensional drawings and schematics in an ESD sensitive process within both the designated specifications and production standard times.Panel, Enclosure Assembly and Test:Responsible for performing all assembly and testing processes required to create quality products using a variety of tools, components, probes and other testing equipment. Parts must be produced using three-view dimensional drawings and schematics in an ESD sensitive process within both the designated specifications and production standard times. Troubleshoot as necessary.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmployees must be capable of meeting the assigned production and quality performance standards while performing the following essential job functions:Winding:Set up winding machinery for operation.Load and change spools of material, coils of material, and/or strips of material.Assemble and disassemble winding arbors.Working from drawing specifications wind material around arbor, may require forceful striking with a mallet to form material. Weld copper terminals to coil if necessary. Tape coils as necessary.Unload wound coils and inspect coils.Panel Wiring:Perform various hand and mechanical operations to wire and assemble filter panel units from various components including: brackets, terminals, bolts, washers, nuts, insulation, etc. using hand and power hand tools.Layout panels and enclosures in accordance with drawings, schematics, and written instructions. This includes punching, drilling and tapping holes as necessary. Mount components such as harmonic filters, fans, coils, lights, relays, fuses, circuit breakers, etc. Test assembled units to verify units meet all electrical and mechanical specifications.Select appropriate gauges, and colors of wire, and wire panel per schematic or diagram. Use wire cutters to cut, strip, and crimp ends, as needed, and attach wires.Assembly:Perform various hand and mechanical operations to assemble custom units from subassemblies and various components including: brackets, terminals, bolts, washers, nuts, insulation, etc. using hand and power tools.Perform diversified assembly operations of various size coils and units.Layout and assemble coils and units working from drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions. This includes punching, drilling, and tapping holes as necessary. Plan assembly procedures. Tack and weld structural members. Assemble coils and units using hand and power tools. Examine and test assembled units and verify they meet all mechanical and electrical specifications.Fabricating:Set up fabricating machinery and equipment.Cut wire and sleeving to desired lengths for production purposes.Computer keyboard entry of all necessary production data.Cabinet modificationModule Assembly & Test:Complete assembly in ESD sensitive process.Read and interpret schematics, follow assembly drawings and instructions to include but not limited to: torque all connections, torque tooling, visual checking of work and connections.Connection verification and voltage measurements with DMM (digital multi meter).Read and interpret test procedure.Test module to include but not limited to: wire heat sink module to test fixture, electrical test with Variac as source of power, use handheld current meter to make current measurements, and use Oscilloscope to assess waveforms for acceptability.Troubleshoot and fix problems.Comfortable with working with up to 600 V.Perform safe practices for electrical testing.Panel, Enclosure Assembly and Test:Complete assembly in ESD sensitive process.Read and interpret schematics, follow assembly drawings and instructions to include but not limited to: sheet metal assembly, wiring termination, wire per connection diagrams, visual inspection of work and connections, and connection verification with DMM (digital multimeter).Read and interpret test procedure.Wire cabinet to test cell.Electrical test up to 600 V power applied to unit.Test the product using DMM to make voltage measurements, using handheld current meter to make current measurements, using handheld temperature probe to verify temperatures, and using Oscilloscope to assess waveforms for acceptability.Set up isolated voltage probes.Set up current probes.Use Wavestar software to gather current spectrums for testing.Use Excel to record test results.Troubleshoot problems.Equipment and Tools UtilizedWinders, overhead hoists, hand tools, walk-behind forklift, electric pallet jack, hand truck, power & pneumatic tools, measuring instruments, mallets, tape dispenser, C-clamps, banding tools, tinning pot, pallet jack, crimpers, fixtures, welding equipment, folding ladder, multipress clamps, band saw, shop vac, punch, grinder, electrical test equipment, DMM, Oscilloscope, Testing Application, tilt tables, lift tables, overhead crane, ladder stairs, jigsaw, nibbler, computer, keyboard, mouse, and carts.Personal Protective EquipmentSafety Shoes, safety glasses, gloves, welding helmet, protective garments, ESD wrist strap, and face shieldEducation & Experience RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of steady work experience to include a minimum of 6 months work equivalent to Level 1 Custom.
