General Counsel

Overview:High-growth technology company seeking a senior legal leader to build and oversee the in-house legal function across commercial, regulatory, product, privacy, IP, governance, and risk matters. This role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams supporting advanced software, connected technologies, and global operations.Responsibilities:Serve as primary legal advisor to executive leadership.Build scalable legal, compliance, and governance frameworks.Advise on AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, product, and regulatory matters.Draft and negotiate commercial, technology, manufacturing, vendor, and partnership agreements.Oversee intellectual property strategy, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and open-source matters.Support financing transactions, corporate governance, and investor-related initiatives.Manage litigation, risk management, insurance, and outside counsel relationships.Partner with technical and operational teams on product development and regulatory compliance.Qualifications:JD with active U.S. bar membership.12+ years of legal experience across law firm and in-house environments preferred.Background supporting fast-growing technology businesses, including AI, robotics, software or hardware.Strong experience in commercial transactions, corporate law, privacy, and technology matters.Familiarity with emerging technology regulation, operational compliance, and intellectual property strategy.Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance in fast-paced environments.Ideal Profile:Experienced builder capable of creating legal infrastructure from the ground up.Business-minded legal partner with strong judgment and communication skills.Comfortable operating in evolving, high-growth environments with cross-functional teams.
