Electric Pump acquired Pumpcon in April 2004.Website: www.pumpcon.comJob SummaryWe are seeking a Plasma Table Operator to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for the set up and operation of the CNC plasma cutting table.Essential FunctionsLoad and unload the burning table using a forklift with chains or other lifting devicesRemove cut product from the table and stack on pallets or other holding areasProgram and operate plasma cutter using proper gases and cutting tipsGenerate multiple parts nesting’sPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machine while maintaining organized workspacePerform all necessary quality checks during production and follow procedures in place for defective productEnsure timely delivery of finished product to maintain efficient workflow between departmentsWork in accordance with established safety rules and good housekeeping practicesCompetenciesMust be able to work independentlyPrior experience operating a plasma table is preferredAbility to meet deadlines under pressureAble to read and follow plans and specifications to set up machine and cutting process (Plasma / Oxy-Fuel) correctly.Work in a safe and effective mannerProblem solving/analysisStrong communication and teamwork skillsHigh attention to detailSelf-motivatedWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a typical shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. There is also frequent use of power tools, including saws, and forklift. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Required Education And ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED with relevant experience required.
