Changeover Technician

MUST HAVE SOME MECHANICAL EXPERIENCE Overview This position is responsible for all aspects of the injection molding or single-stage injection stretch blow molding process, including the set-up, operation, maintenance, and repair of injection molding tools, equipment, and materials. Hours: 7am-7pm rotating shift Responsibilities Produces high quality PET preforms in a safe and organized high speed environment Carries out preform quality checks and documents accordingly Makes necessary adjustments to meet quality and cycle time requirements Starts-up and shuts down machines as needed due to scheduling, changeover, repairs and PMs Performs administrative tasks i.e. production reports, machine settings, mold performance, start up sheets, logbook entry, etc. Updates computer system after any interruptions; changeovers, breakdowns and etc. Informs Maintenance and department Manager of any major repairs or machine failures Cleans machines of oil, resin, color, and preforms Ensures blocked cavity matrix on machine is always current to the condition Recommends process and machine improvements This list is not all inclusive, and employee may be asked or required to handle more responsibility as workload may deem necessary.
