Apply via Dice today!Role: Embedded Software Developer (RDK-B) (3-5) yrs is fineWork Location: Santa Clara, CA 95054 (relocation is fine)Duration: Possible 3 Month CTHJob DescriptionStrong understanding of IEEE802.11 protocolDesign, develop and testing of Wi-Fi software feature for Comcast Wi-Fi gateway/extender productExperience and knowledge on IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols such as WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac/axWork with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutionsProvide technical assistance to other teams to trouble shoot customer Wi-Fi issuesWork on development of new Wi-Fi features on RDKB platformHands-on experience on C/C++ programmingStrong knowledge of Linux Operating systemsHands-on experience working in Linux environmentStrong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTPStrong problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Source version control tools like Git, GitHub etc.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsKey ResponsibilitiesWork on design and implementation of RDKB features, bug fixes and troubleshootingCoordinating with offshore team membersPresenting weekly status reports to stakeholdersMandatory SkillsEmbedded Software Development using C/C++Understanding of RDKBUnderstanding of IEEE802.11 protocolStrong knowledge of Linux Operating systems
