RWE Americas, LLCTo start as soon as possible, full time, permanentFunctional area: Corporate Development / Strategy; Business DevelopmentRemuneration: ExemptThe Program Director position is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight, financial performance, and successful delivery of a diversified energy and infrastructure portfolio. This position provides executive-level leadership across Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC), Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC), design-build projects, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), and other capital improvement initiatives.The Program Director manages an active contract portfolio of $100 to $200 million or more in awards, consisting of projects spanning both development and execution phases, and is accountable for delivering a target of $20 million in new project awards annually. This role ensures projects achieve defined performance objectives including return on investment, risk mitigation, operational continuity, and client satisfaction. Turnkey infrastructure solutions include renewable energy systems, HVAC, EMS, building envelope, lighting, plumbing, and heating and cooling systems, electrical infrastructure and architectural systems.Role Responsibilities:Provide leadership of the program team to screen and qualify the feasibility of energy efficiency, design-build, and other capital improvement opportunities. This will involve leading and structuring select customer meetings, organizing and leading site trips to collect facility data and to lead other program team members tasked with performing site surveys, overseeing the development and review of energy screening models to determine the technical and economic viability of energy efficiency and other capital improvement projectsScreening models include bin analyses, hourly building simulation computer models, and commercially available analysis packages. Oversight and quality control over the preparation of Preliminary Assessment reportsOversee the development, and the definition and dimensioning of technically and economically feasible infrastructure solutions by performing preliminary engineering, selecting project metering and measurements of critical parameters, and coordinating with internal staff/external vendors and contractors to develop designs and technical proposalsAssist with the preparation of Task Order Schedules and provide quality control oversite of Investment Grade Audit reportsOversee the development of the technical scope of work for selected technologies and manage internal and external engineering resources to determine cost and scheduleOversight through diligently working with other key department managers and their staff members assigned to the programDrive the technical due diligence for the implementation phase. This will involve identifying known risks (i.e., technical, construction, price, schedule, environmental, warranties, performance guarantees, etc.), indicate impact, and how they will be addressed and mitigatedOversee the development, design, construction, and project management personnel assigned to deliver turn-key implementation of projects, including project development and design, and the preparation of contract documents (plans and specifications) of renewables, HVAC, EMS, building envelope, lighting, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems. Heating and cooling systems include central chilled water and heating plants. Provide oversight to ensure contractual obligations are met through the performance of all services, internal and subcontractedJob Requirements and Experiences: Degree Undergraduate engineering (BS) degree or construction management (BS) requiredRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) a plusFederal ESPC experience a plusHealthcare experience a plusMinimum of 15 years of experience in HVAC, Energy Management and Control Systems (EMS), and Central Utility Plants (CUP), and general energy conservation methods (ECMs)Minimum of 15 years of experience with department, program, and/or project management experienceSuitable experience with DOE/DOD Task Order Schedule Development, Preliminary Assessment and Investment Grade Audit experience following the DOE/DOD IDIQ proceduresExperience in engineering analysis to identify, screen, and develop energy conservation measures for EPC and design build projects; develop EMS control strategies to reduce energy consumption; develop detailed cost estimates for selected energy conservation measures; and interface with customer facility personnelStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationshipsDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables spaceExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and TeamsStrong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlinesStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverablesAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a teamMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesBenefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
