Weekly)], [Contract], [Onsite] Pay Range: $40/hr to $45/hr on W2Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).Job Description:Typical Day in the RolePurpose of the Team: The team supports Xbox Game Studios Publishing as the internal web team responsible for building and maintaining video game websites, primarily on WordPress, and ensuring reliable, high‑quality web experiences for game titlesKey projects: This role will contribute to migrating existing WordPress websites to a new hosting platform, supporting ongoing development and maintenance of multiple Xbox Game Studios websites (including Flight Simulator and other titles), and assisting with automation, pipelines, and web infrastructure improvements.Candidate Requirements:Disqualifiers: Candidates will not be eligible if they show consistent short tenures or frequent job changes that are not project‑based, as this indicates patchy work history.Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain experience working on large‑scale WordPress sites (such as schools, universities, or newspapers)The Xbox Game Studios Publishing Team is looking for a talented WordPress developer to migrate our existing websites to a new hosting solution. Additionally, the candidate will assist us in updating our Sage 9 WordPress themes to Sage 11. We build scalable, engaging, community-focused, user-friendly, and accessible websites.
