Maintenance Technician

POSITIONS PURPOSE The Maintenance Technician assists in the daily operations of the Facilities Services Department and primarily performs journey-level maintenance and repair work.Job Duties & Essential Position FunctionsFacilities Management: Primarily performs preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining predictive and corrective maintenance schedules of work for all building systems. The Maintenance Technician maintains and responds to issues related to fire alarm systems and be familiar with fire panels. The Maintenance Technician serves as a leader in conserving university resources through quality energy management and other environmental stewardship practices.Customer Service: Demonstrates solid customer service skills including punctuality, dependability, and ability to communicate well within the department, outside the department, and with contractors.
