Job SummaryThe Data Engineer will support the sourcing, transformation, ingestion, and analysis of data and develop ETL logic utilizing Informatica (IDMC), Control-M, and Snowflake to support existing and future deployments.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeverage Control-M to develop automated workflows that triggers processes, moves files, and ingests data in conjunction with other toolsDevelop robust data products and processes within SnowflakeSupport the sourcing, transformation, and analysis of dataDevelop ETL logic utilizing Informatica Data Management Cloud to support existing and future deploymentsExecute technical aspects of data management functions including creating, loading, transforming, cleansing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing dataAssist teammates and business partners with building technical solutions that solve problems, are reusable, scalable, fast, and maintainable through large datasets, both clean and un-cleanWork with multiple development technologies including SQLLearn new and existing tools, resources, and processesAssist in the implementation of architecture and solutionsDevelop and deliver code to support existing and future deploymentsSupervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have formal people leadership responsibilities but may provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbalFast, adaptive learnerAbility to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneouslyExhibits flexibility and tolerance for ambiguity with the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing business environmentResults-oriented & Dedicated work ethicBasic understanding of object-oriented analysis and designMinimum QualificationsBachelors Degree with emphasis in technology, engineering, or mathCombination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.2+ years of relevant professional experienceExperience working with data structures and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Informatica Data Management Cloud)Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or SnowflakeExperience writing SQL queries and interpreting data modelsExperience with database modelingExperience in financial services or insurance industryOther RequirementsThis position primarily involves sedentary work, requiring long periods of sitting, regular use of a computer, and occasional standing or walking, with reasonable accommodations available.Perform other functions, duties and projects as assignedRegular and punctual attendanceAbility to travel up to: 10% of the timeAdditional InformationWork EnvironmentsF&G believes in an employee-centric flexible environment, which is why we offer the ability for in-office, hybrid and remote work arrangements.
