As a Cloud Consulting lead, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Federal Government. You will play a crucial role as an experienced technology professional who advises on cloud computing strategies, implementation, and optimization. You will assess business needs, design scalable cloud solutions, provide strategic guidance, and oversee cloud adoption.Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutionsAnalyzes customer requirements and provides technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies of high complexityResearch, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analyticsAssists customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas and defining domain specific ontologiesDevelop large data technologies, algorithms, and applicationsMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedProvides guidance and leadership to less-experienced cloud development personnelMay serve as a team or task leader.Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Developer Sr Principal must have:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred.A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in information technology, including at least four (4) years in cloud strategy, cloud transformation leadership, or enterprise cloud adoption initiatives.Leading large-scale cloud migration and transformation projects across hybrid and multi-cloud FedRamp environments.Advising on cloud strategy, governance, security, and financial optimization.Deep technical understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and serverless technologies.Hands-on expertise with all four of the following platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).Engaging with senior stakeholders to align technical recommendations with organizational strategy.Delivering executive-level briefings and transformation roadmaps.Hands-on expertise, including designing/implementing multi-cloud environments, with all four of the following platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)AWS Certified Solutions Architect - ProfessionalMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud ArchitectOracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect ProfessionalITIL v4 Foundation (or similar) for service management alignmentTOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworksAttention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.Oral Communication - Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendation.Explore a career in software development at GDIT and you'll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your dedication to advancing innovation. The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
