About the CompanyThe company specializes in ground-up residential construction, coastal/windstorm-compliant builds, and disaster recovery restoration projects in high-demand markets.About the RoleThey are hiring an experienced Residential Estimator to take full ownership of in-house estimating operations. Estimating is now being done by an outsourced 3rd party, and the company feels they can better serve their clients by investing in an in-house Estimator to perform accurate bids and take-offs. This is an opportunity for a seasoned estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands Gulf Coast construction standards, and wants to play a major role in building scalable estimating processes from the ground up.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage 60–80 residential construction estimates per monthPerform highly accurate material takeoffs directly from residential blueprintsAnalyze plans from multiple architects and engineers with speed and precisionEstimate primarily ground-up single-family residential projectsSupport occasional multifamily, remodeling, and disaster recovery projectsCollaborate closely with purchasing and project management teams to align material orders with takeoffsHelp optimize and improve internal estimating workflows and systemsWork within takeoff software to create consistent, scalable estimating processesEnsure compliance with coastal and windstorm construction requirements across TX, FL, AL, and NCMaintain detailed bid documentation and organized project recordsContribute operational insight that improves cost control and field executionQualifications5+ years of residential construction estimating experienceStrong experience estimating windstorm-rated and coastal residential projectsProficiency with takeoff software strongly preferredExperience with other takeoff software may be consideredAbility to perform highly accurate takeoffs with minimal oversightStrong understanding of Gulf Coast building requirements and coastal construction standardsExperience estimating ground-up single-family residential projectsAble to manage high bid volume in a fast-paced environmentField construction experience transitioning into estimating is highly valuedXactimate experience is a plus but not requiredNo degree required — practical experience and proven performance matter mostRequired SkillsStrong experience estimating windstorm-rated and coastal residential projectsProficiency with takeoff software strongly preferredAbility to perform highly accurate takeoffs with minimal oversightStrong understanding of Gulf Coast building requirements and coastal construction standardsPreferred SkillsXactimate experience is a plus but not requiredField construction experience transitioning into estimating is highly valuedPay range and compensation packageCompetitive base salary: $95K–$130K DOEPerformance-based bonus opportunitiesOvertime potential availableFull-time permanent positionStable long-term opportunity with strong project pipelineMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company contributionPaid time off + paid holidaysExposure to large-scale Gulf Coast residential and disaster recovery projectsEqual Opportunity StatementThis is an onsite role based in the Greater Houston area.
