You’ll be responsible for budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, specifications, and working drawings. You’ll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development efforts.Pre-Design EngineeringReview existing as-built drawingsPerform field investigationsSet up drawings and models for multiple disciplinesCoordinate design schedules and deliverablesConduct feasibility studiesPrepare schematic designsDesign EngineeringPerform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VEDevelop single-line diagrams and load schedulesDesign lighting systems and controlsEngineer normal, emergency, and renewable power systemsConduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System StudiesExperience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plusPosition RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineering (PE) License requiredEngineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferredLEED Accreditation is a plusExperience Required4–6 years of engineering design and/or project management experienceProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and RevitFamiliarity with:California Building CodeNational Electrical CodeHCAI/OSHPD standards (preferred)Net Zero Energy/Carbon design (a plus)Project management (preferred)What sets P2S apart?For 15 years in a row, P2S has been regarded as a “Best Place to Work” by our employees.
