Senior Ergonomist

OverviewOur client is hiring a Senior Ergonomist to improve how physical work is performed in manufacturing environments. This role focuses on analyzing job tasks (like lifting, reaching, and repetitive motions) and making changes to reduce injuries, fatigue, and inefficiencies.You’ll be part of the EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) team and will support multiple facilities by improving both current operations and future process designs.What You’ll Be DoingObserve and evaluate how work is performed on the production floorMeasure things like force, repetition, movement, and cycle time during tasksIdentify ergonomic and safety risks that may lead to injury or fatigueRecommend and implement improvements to tools, equipment, and workflowsWork cross-functionally with engineering, production, and safety teamsHelp design safer and more efficient work processes for new and existing operationsSupport ergonomics and EHS programs and track performance metricsParticipate in incident investigations and help implement corrective actionsTrain and mentor teams on ergonomics and safe work practicesRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to independently identify risks and implement improvementsExperience working in industrial, manufacturing, or high-risk environmentsComfortable working on the floor and interacting with frontline teamsStrong communication skills (able to work with operators, engineers, and leadership)Experience with ergonomics tools and concepts (task analysis, risk assessments, etc.)Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environmentsBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Education / QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors, or a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Kinesiology, Biomechanics)AEP (Associate Ergonomics Professional) certification preferred5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years leading ergonomics programs
