We are seeking Computer Programmer III to support the Maritime Command and Control (MCCOG) program in. The selected candidate will provide advanced software development, system integration, and technical support for mission-critical Navy systems. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and system performance requirements.
This position is contingent upon award of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting MCCOG systems and mission requirements.
Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
Develop and integrate software solutions across multiple platforms and environments.
Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of applications.
Support system integration, testing, and deployment activities.
Ensure software compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including STIG and RMF requirements.
Collaborate with systems engineers, network engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure secure and efficient system operations.
Maintain documentation including system design documents, test plans, and user guides.
Provide technical support and recommendations for system enhancements and modernization efforts.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related STEM field
5+ years of professional experience in software development or programming
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
Experience working in DoD or federal IT environments
Desired:
Experience supporting Navy or NAVSEA programs
Familiarity with RMF, cybersecurity compliance, and secure coding practices
Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud-based development environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
