ServiceNow Systems Architect- Commonwealth of Kentucky - COT-Division of Support Services

Systems Architect The Systems Architect (SA) role is accountable for all aspects of the technical solution and implementation from initiation through closeout of customer projects. The SA leads onsite and virtual technical requirements gathering workshops with Commonwealth customers to capture all requirements necessary to implement the solution on the current ITSM platform. The SA provides consultative guidance to the customer, and designs the overall solution based on ITSM platform and industry specific best practices. The SA will provide administrative/technical development support in addition to the following typical activities expected of the Systems Architect role:Provide subject matter expertise in the design, configuration and implementation of the following capabilities within current ITSM platform: ITSM, CSM, FSM, IRM, ITOM (CMDB & Service Mapping), SAM (Software Asset Management), HAM (Hardware Asset Management), Service Portal, and others.Lead requirements gathering workshops to provide technical guidance, and assist with capturing all necessary business, functional and technical requirements necessary to design and implement the solutionResearch and evaluate technical solutions to make informed recommendations on the most appropriate, efficient and cost-effective solution based on the customer requirements and the statement of workDesigns data model and architecture required to implement solution using technology specific best practices and standards.Provide technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for the development teamSupport and coordinate scheduling and execution of releases, product upgrades, new technology deployments.Produces and maintains detailed knowledge transfer documentation including design specs, maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment, technical notes, and testing, etc.Proactively maintain knowledge and understanding of the latest ServiceNow features and product offeringsPerform and participate in product roadmap planningIdentify trends across customer implementations to improve future implementationsDriving continual service improvement through establishment of best practices, reusable assets and refinement of the implementation processes.Successful candidates should possess the following skills, with preference given to the items so marked.Effective verbal and written communication skills are vital to success in the role.Operate in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for supporting multiple customer projects in parallel.Ability to understand and translate user requirements into technical best practice solutions that align with customer expectations.Comfortable interfacing with all levels of customer stakeholdersAbility to listen, interpret, strategize and consult on complex business processes and technical conceptsExperience should include scripting, tool configuration (to include Client Scripting, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Policies & ACL's), design work, technical configuration, and deployment. Specifically, candidates shall possess the skill to configure on an ITSM platform including the creation and/or customization of the core applications such as Workflow Editor/ Flow Designer, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog and Portal.Emphasis on architecting & configuring automated workflows thru the use of Workflow Editor/ Flow Designer.We are seeking the ability to identify layout, design, and presentation, as well as the technical capabilities of configuring in order to improve the ease of use for our customers.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields or equivalent professional experienceProficiency with scripting in JavaScript, Python & PowerShellFive years of advanced administration, configuration, and development experience on an ITSM platformTen years of professional IT experienceProfessional consulting experience preferredServiceNow Certified Administrator preferred (Current Release) *Current ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist preferred (Current Release)*
