Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Sanford, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in managing financial records and ensuring accurate reporting. As a key member of the accounting team, you will contribute to maintaining compliance and supporting organizational efficiency.Responsibilities:- Prepare and post monthly journal entries while reconciling general ledger accounts and conducting thorough account analysis.- Ensure accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations and address any discrepancies.- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including organizing check runs and ensuring timely payment of bills.- Perform monthly bank statement reconciliations and investigate unusual transactions.- Manage inter-company account billing and reconciliation, resolving variances as needed.- Maintain prepaid expense records, including tracking monthly amortization and usage.- Generate and distribute financial and managerial reports, verifying accuracy and adhering to reporting schedules.- Respond to inquiries from colleagues and managers regarding general ledger entries and financial data.- Organize and retain accounting transaction records in compliance with company policies.- Collaborate on implementing and maintaining credit card management platforms, ensuring smooth operation. Requirements - Demonstrated experience with corporate tax and sales tax processes.- Proficiency in preparing corporate tax returns and managing compliance requirements.- Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and general ledger maintenance.- Ability to reconcile accounts and analyze financial data effectively.- Familiarity with financial reporting and managerial report generation.- Experience in handling accounts payable and receivable functions.- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management platforms.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
