Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.Who Thrives In This RoleThis position is especially well-suited for:Parents seeking a schedule that aligns with the school dayEducation majors or future teachers looking for hands-on experience with children and classroom managementRetirees who enjoy staying active, mentoring children, and giving back to the communityIf you enjoy building relationships, supporting student growth, and being part of a mission-driven team, you’ll feel right at home.Position ResponsibilitiesThe Before and After School Program team is responsible for:Creating and facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activitiesAssisting students with homeworkProviding a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environmentServing as a positive role model for children in the programArriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissedCommunicating daily with parents and families via the Playground AppFollowing state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policiesSupporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as neededRequirementsEducation and ExperienceCandidate Must Possess One Of The FollowingBachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services fieldBachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experienceAssociate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experienceAssociate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experienceChild Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experienceRelevant experience includes: working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.Qualifications18 years of ageMust pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checksMust be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.Warm, friendly, professional, and reliableStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPhysically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.Part-Time BenefitsEmployer-paid childcare for your school aged children (ages 5-12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you are working with usTelehealth, vision, and dental coverageAFLAC supplemental plans401(k) for eligible employeesPaid sick timeOn-demand payCareer development and growth opportunitiesAbout Healthy Kids ProgramsHealthy Kids Programs is more than a childcare provider.
