OEM Account ManagerPosition OverviewThe OEM Account Manager provides a sales-service oriented interface with outside consultants, users, representatives, prospects, and internal personnel. The role promotes products and capabilities in alignment with AIS sales and profitability objectives, with a focus on customer success and brand representation.Duties and ResponsibilitiesActs as the key interface between the customer and internal departments (purchasing, quality, warehouse, and accounting) to coordinate activities, ensuring timely and accurate order shipments.Enhances sales and resolves questions from key customer decision makers through product knowledge and coordination of external suppliers and internal resources.Ensures the integrity and growth of gross margin performance for aligned customers, working collaboratively with regional and senior sales leadership.Verifies and accurately enters purchase orders, VMI and EDI orders, tracks errors, and initiates preventive steps.Expedites orders to improve delivery time and monitors past-due orders.Maximizes integration of ERP tools into daily operations.Assists with identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation, and disposition of non-conforming product, services, and systems.Collaborates with Regional Sales Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.Enters new customer data and updates changes in the corporate database (TdF).Quotes products and communicates brand identity and corporate position.Responds to customer inquiries regarding product information such as pricing, lead time, and specifications.Visits customer and/or supplier locations and attends trade shows as required.Ensures ISO compliance and attends periodic training where applicable.Fosters the MSC culture within the department and throughout the company.Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.QualificationsBachelor's degree or minimum five years of Industrial Distribution Inside Sales experience.Master communicator in written, verbal, and in-person contexts.Strong persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills with an eye on bottom line and relationship building.Excellent organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and maintaining deadlines.Analytical mindset to evaluate problems and develop solutions.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.Adaptable to change and capable of pivoting strategies.Basic blueprint reading (engineered drawings and specifications).CompensationStarting at $51,000 - $73,676 per year depending on candidate location and experience.Other RequirementsApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY STATEMENTAt MSC, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all qualified applicants and our associates without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, or any category protected by applicable law.
