Full Stack Engineer

🚀 We’re hiring a part-time Full-Stack Engineer to help us build something from the ground up. Contractor (1099) / Initially 5 hours or less per week.Handler is building a new AI-powered SaaS platform from the ground up. We are at the pre-launch phase, backed by a 49 year company with deep domain expertise. A Fractional Technical Product Manager provides strategic and architectural oversight, and we are now hiring the first dedicated engineer to bring the platform to life.Our product leverages AI-powered conversational workflows to deliver intelligent, differentiated capabilities to our target market. The technology decisions made in the next six months will define the platform for years to come and you will be the person making many of them alongside our fractional technical leader.This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit a mature codebase or work through a backlog of tickets. You’ll help turn a blank repository into a production platform, working closely with our Fractional Technical Product Manager and having a meaningful voice in the technology and architecture decisions we make along the way.What you’ll do:• Build and ship the SaaS platform across frontend, backend, database, authentication, and cloud infrastructure• Integrate LLM APIs, including Anthropic and OpenAI, into core conversational workflows• Establish the technical foundation—CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, infrastructure-as-code, and scalable backend systems• Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools as part of your everyday development workflow• Own features end-to-end and help shape technical and product decisionsWhat we’re looking for:• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience• Strong full-stack capabilities across modern frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure• Experience building a product from zero to one—ideally as an early or founding engineer• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents to accelerate development• Experience integrating LLM APIs into production applications strongly preferred• A builder who is comfortable with ambiguity, moves quickly, communicates clearly, and takes real ownership📍 Remote-first with potential periodic in-person collaboration (metro Atlanta)💻 1099 contract opportunity - PART TIME (5 hours a week or less)If you’ve been looking for the opportunity to say, “I helped build the v1 of that product,” this could be it.Interested or know someone who might be a great fit?
