Responsibilities:The Back Office Shared Services FP&A team supports the firm’s corporate functions by overseeing expense management, cost allocations, budgeting, and financial planning across all Back Office departments. This role will partner closely with functional leaders and senior management to provide transparency into expense drivers, resource planning, and allocation methodologies. The position plays a key role in managing monthly allocations, supporting the annual budgeting process, analyzing departmental expenses, and producing financial materials used by senior leadership to manage the firm’s Back Office cost base.Partner with Back Office group heads and senior stakeholders to manage departmental budgets, understand evolving business needs, and evaluate resource requests such as incremental headcountPrepare financial analysis, presentations, and reporting materials used by Back Office leadership and senior executives in budget reviews and strategic discussionsSupport the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for Back Office departments, including maintaining budgeting models and tracking compensation and non-compensation expensesMonitor monthly expense performance versus budget and forecast, analyze key variances, and provide insights to FP&A leadership and business partnersSupport the year-end compensation review process by analyzing discretionary accruals versus proposed bonus pools and assisting in compensation planning analysisManage the monthly shared services cost allocation process, including reviewing cost pools and allocation methodologies across Back Office functionsAnalyze and validate operational metrics (e.g., time-spent statistics) that drive allocation models and ensure accurate distribution of expenses across business unitsIdentify opportunities to improve reporting, planning, and allocation processes through enhanced analytics, automation, and data visualization toolsQualifications:4–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysisExperience supporting shared services, corporate functions, or centralized cost centers within a financial services or professional services organization preferredStrong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management processesDemonstrated ability to partner with department heads and senior stakeholders to understand business needs and manage departmental budgetsExperience preparing financial analysis, presentations, and reporting materials for senior managementAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and analysis of large datasetsExperience using Tableau or similar data visualization tools to develop financial reporting and dashboardsStrong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear insightsExperience with automation, AI tools, or process improvement initiatives is a plusEducational Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required Salary: $120,000-$130,000The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).We do not accept unsolicited resumes, candidate referrals, or outreach from third-party recruiters or staffing agencies.
